Job Summary

Achievement of sales target, derived from sales to the IAS client base of accountancy firms with up to 4 partners within a defined territory.

Working from home, at client/prospect sites, and working at IRIS offices in Datchet and Manchester.  Frequent visits to clients’ and prospects’ premises required – typically 25+ meetings per month.

Achieve targets for all proprietary and white labeled products as set by the management team.

Maintain retention levels >97% within the customer base.


Main Responsibilities


  • Achieving and exceeding set sales targets, as set by the Sales Director.
  • Providing support as needed to the customer base, to ensure the clients derive the maximum value from the IRIS offerings
  • Providing weekly forecasting reports to the Head of Business Development
  • Working professionally with colleagues from across IRIS Software Group to ensure effective lead generation and referral business
  • Providing monthly and quarterly pipeline reports to the senior management team

Educated to degree level. Accounting, Finance or Business Qualification (ACA, ACCA, AAT, ATT ATII or CIMA) preferable



  • Accountancy / Taxation experience highly preferable
  • Market experience highly preferable
  • History of selling successfully complex software solutions direct to businesses
  • Ability to present confidently and successfully at board level
  • Excellent IT/Software application skills
  • Professional and consultative approach
      • Self-motivated with drive and initiative
      • Excellent interpersonal skills
      • Energy and enthusiasm
